Arrives Tarnished
I've ordered this as a special gift for our long serving, retiring board president and I went to Ralph Lauren because of their reputation for quality. With all the pretty packaging and special notes signed by the packer, I'm surprised that it arrived tarnished and even with a nick in the base. I reordered and they gave me the requisite 'I apologize for the inconvenience' and sent another and the same exact thing happened with the next one. It is packed in beautiful packaging, wrapping paper and a special note from the packer, but they clearly did not open it first to actually check it for quality. I've been waiting 2 weeks for another replacement. They promised to check the stock prior to re shipping, but I've heard only an "I apologize for the inconvenience and you will hear from us within 4 business days,' and it's been 2 weeks. They also promised the product within 4 days both times and both times it arrived a week later.
