I was reluctant at first to wear a pair of "sweat" shorts that were not 100% cotton because I felt like they would not "age" the way I like - with lots of fading, light whiskering, and other details that lend character. That said, I have never been a fan of the way cotton fleeces stretches out and comes baggy after a few hours. While lending great comfort, that fabric property relegated the shorts to super casual and comfort-oriented pursuits only. This "performance" fabric with polyester admittedly lacks some of the distressed details that I think make cotton look more interesting as a fabric. But what the material lacks in distressed appearance, it more than makes up for in function. The material never loses its shape, so the shorts fit great everywhere you want them to fit great throughout the day. I do not hesitate to slip these shorts on when going out to a restaurant to a nice retail store. I am so glad that I took a chance on "performance" fabric and will definitely buy more.Date published: 2018-07-16
