I've purchased this belt for years with only the most recent belt seperating at the belt holes where a permanant bend is set due to the buckle pulling on the leather at your waist size. The buckle is heavy brass and plated in chrome. The leather is smooth and heavy Italian leather. This isn't a luxury design but it is high quality Italian made and works very well for my purposes. Unfortunately, RL is not selling this in black and I chose to purchase the 65.00 "Imported" version instead. That belt is the worst product I've ever purchased from RL. I bought two of them and returned them immediately. If RL gets over this outsourcing and killing of quality and returns this belt to stock I'll purchase it again. For now, I'm going to a well known German brand for consistent quality. I've watched the culture and quality at RL drop over the years. This belt is an example of outsourcing a wonderful Italian belt to a terrible Chinese version that's not worth 5 dollars. Once again, if this belt comes back in stock, I'll be ordering it again. Four out of five due to the leather separating at the belt holes. I've had four of these belts prior and none of them had that issue. It might be a cost saving issue or EU regulation on glue or something but I've never had my belts separate before. I wear a 35 in dress pants and need a 36. My jeans are 34" waist and I can't wear this in a 34. Size one size up from your jeans, I would say.Date published: 2020-01-04
