The standard color ones arrive very stiff and sturdy rather like a pair of brand new blue jeans. After a few washes they break in and conform to your body and feel like you’ve owned them a lifetime. In addition, when I mentioned the word sturdy, this has extra meaning, as these khakis will last. The stitching is premium and the construction is made to last. If you were an archeologist or explorer or sailor - you’d want these on your travels. I have a set for every day wear and a few for dressing up occasions. You can’t go wrong with these and don’t let the price tag shock you; you’d go through 3 pairs of other well known brands before you’d wear out a Whitman.
