My son is usually a 4T but Polo runs a bit large so I size down and got him a 3T and it fits great!!! 4T fits him but it would be a looser fit. I wanted him to look sharp for picture day so I got the 3T. Normally if I want him to grow into things and get the most use I get the 4T. Depends on the look you are going for
