The quality of the denim is very nice, and according to my daughter, it is lightweight and comfortable. I took off a star because it runs a bit small. My daughter is 9, so I ordered the 8, thinking the next size up (size 10) would be too large. My daughter is slim, however, she is a gymnast with a broader chest and shoulders. The dress was snug in the chest and shoulders and barely fit. We don't usually have this problem with other clothes that are size 8. If your child has a slender, straight build/frame, you're probably safe going with her usual size. If your child has an athletic or larger build/frame, I would suggest sizing up.

She normally wears an 8 but i got a 10 just incase not knowing the brand sizing and it fits great. The sleeves fit just right and the length is a little longer then she normal would wear but just perfect for cooler weather. My daughter is 8 and cant figure out the belt just yet but shouldn't be too hard once shes worn it a few more times. It did not face or shrink in the wash. It looks super cute with leggings for cool weather. My daughter likes it so that's all that matters. *product received for free*

It is made of 100% cotton that makes it very breathable and comfortable to wear. It is also a flare dress which added more charm to the outfit. The belt is removable also. It is perfect for any ocassion and you can wear it with either sneakers or flat shoes. It is also perfect to wear on fall or winter time as it gives you enough warmth because it has long sleeves. The buckle on the belt acentuate the dress perfectly as well. It is also buttoned from all the way down up to the collar. It is machine washable. However, i suggest to wash it separately from light colored fabric as it bleed a little. I am very happy with this dress and i hope Ralph Lauren creates more cute outfit like this. I totally recommend it. It will be worth your money as it is well made and made from qualitu fabric.

It fits nicely into the fall fashion as a dress or as a long shirt dress with tights. The stitching is secure and the buttons are double-stitched, and thank goodness, because the neck buttons are a little stubborn to work with when first using. The denim has a little stretch but not much. Because this is a dark blue we washed it alone for the first wash, and there was minimal fading of the dark blue. We hung this dress to dry; however, it can be dried in the dryer. The belt is loosely attached and can come off of the dress when wanting to wear the dress without it. The dress is true-to-size for our 14-16 size teenager. This dress has deep front pockets. And, has a wide swing and comes to her knees. She likes to wear this with cow-girl boots, and it looks great when worn this way.

This dress is absolutely darling on my 8 year old and she loves it. She wears size 10/12 and the 12 fits her perfectly. She is short so I always worry about the length of dresses in her size and long sleeves. The length of the dress fits her perfectly right at the knees and the sleeves are a good length. The sleeves also look good rolled up. This dress is made with a thinner type denim that moves well and isn’t stiff. The dress has buttons at the opening from the neck to the bottom of the dress. It has a flowing type skirt that starts mid waist that is slimming on curvier girls and looks great on all body types. It is also belted at the mid waist and could be worn with our without the belt. The left chest area has the traditional Ralph Lauren Polo logo. The dress pairs well with booties, cowgirl boots and tights. My daughter wears hers with brown tassled booties. I just can’t say enough good things about this dress and my daughter is smitten with it!

She did find that the button holes where a bit hard to button. I got her a size 16 in girls and it is not true to size, it fits more like a 12. The length was also a bit short but im hoping getting her a bigger size will fix that. I do plan on purchasing her another dress because she likes it a lot. I have recommended this this dress to my friends who have girls also.
