My granddaughter is very tiny and petite and every communion dress she tried on at children boutiques in our area, that specialize in Communion dresses, were way too fancy with lace appliqués, beading and sequins that completely overpowered her tiny body. We ordered this dress from Ralph Lauren sight unseen and it is absolutely the perfect style dress for my granddaughter. Just the right amount of delicate embroidery on the smocked bodice, beautiful silk covered buttons in the back and even though the dress does have some tulle underneath, the dress, was not real full and puffy. The length is long on my granddaughter, more tea length and my daughter is going to have the dress shorten just a little bit.
