The belt is definitely a chocolate brown and not the medium coniac brown in the photo. The brass buckle is dull looking and does not lay flat on your waist when buckled. Weird design, the side of the buckle that's attached to the belt sticks out about 1/2 inch and the other side that latches into the belt holes lays flat when buckled.
