The narrow width makes for a sophisticated look, but the rugged materials make this a legitimate jeans belt. I am always amazed by the quality of Ralph Lauren. His stuff never disappoints me. I'd recommend buying three sizes larger than pant size. The locations of the strap holes make this necessary. I wear 32" pants, and the 36" belt holes don't allow for a long strap to feed through the belt loops. I should've ordered a 38.
