It was well made, thick, durable, and had an adjustable leather strap with a metal closure. Since I can no longer wear a red hat without worrying that people will think I approve of the disgusting Trump administration, I decided to replace it with a green one. Quality is so much worse - thin, sort of plasticky feeling, not durable, and the adjustable strap and closure are now cloth. NOT worth the money.
