    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Timeless elegance After years of pining for my very own, I finally pulled the trigger and bought The Polo Coat. Those in the know recognize that this coat has no equal in the men’s ready-to-wear space. Even this coat's more expensive Purple Label cousin doesn’t match its elegance or historical accuarcy. The higher-end version opted for hand stitching; however the machine stitching is historically correct if you’re looking for a coat that pays homage to the polo coats of the 20s and 30s. You won’t find another coat like this, don't bother with the likes of Todd Snyder or other lesser coats. Accept no alternatives.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from The definitive polo coat I'd wanted one of these for probably a decade or so and finally pulled the trigger... even though I already owned an identical coat in navy wool. I've scoured the world looking at every camel-hair polo coat I could find and have yet to encounter one as well styled as this one, especially the lapels. The material, too, is a great balance of soft and sturdy (feels noticeably coarser than the brushed material of the women's version, which I really like). It's a pretty heavy coat that's amazing on a cold, windy day...pretty much regardless of what you're wearing or where you're going.

There are camel hair top coats and then there's The Camel hair Polo Coat by Ralph Lauren, which not only keeps you warm but because it's made in America through Italy, you're taking about the best in class and quality. Historically worn by polo players between chukkers, this coat dresses up just as equally as done. Wear it to elevate your sweats and sneakers or with your tuxedo, whatever you do, wear it with pride because like many Ralph Lauren products, this will be as stylish from ages 15 to 115. This IS the only camel hair coat you need and should buy. Period.
