These are perfect for day to day wear in the summer whether at the park, lake or walking around the city. They are made with a stretchable cotton material that is durable and breathable and have an elastic waistband and drawstring for added comfort. The pockets are nice and deep and the legs don't cinch thanks to the stretchable cotton.

These are good if wearing shorts to some sort of mixer or event; they look nicer than the usual short. However, they are not a casual comfort, wear-around-the-house, short. They get uncomfortable after some time, so I cannot wear them all-day while puttering around the house.

These shorts are very comfortable I like how the back around the top are elastic it really makes them comfortable and fits nicely. These shorts can be worn for casual wear or with a nice polo shirt for going out to dinner. I have washed and dried these and they haven’t shrunk or faded which is a huge plus. I really like how the shorts fit just right around my legs . Very nice duarable product I see myself wearing these a lot in the near future.

The drawstring is a nice addition to eliminate the need for a belt for me. I'm a little concerned how well this material will hold up to a summer of wearing and washing, but it has not been an issue yet!

I will start by saying, I have been buying shorter shorts in the past few years but these were by far the shortest I have ever gone. The picture does not do it justice. These things are short and will show (at least on me) 4+ inches above the knee. My favorite part of these is the flexible drawstring top that will allow me to wear these shorts for a long time to come. The only bad thing that you need to be aware of is the zipper has a tendency to fall about a half inch while wearing them. Nothing major but can't hurt to check.

The drawstring is great for keeping them snug without having to wear a belt. These shorts are great summer shorts for any occasion. You can great them up with a nice shirt, or keep it casual with a t shirt. All around excellent shorts and would highly recommend!

They provide a level of comfort and security without the nuisance of having to pack an extra belt. I try to keep my weekender bag as light as possible and these shorts are all I need when I'm not on the beach. Keep in mind that the shorts only have a 6" inseam so they sit a little higher above the knee than most which is a negative for some but a plus for me.

They are true to size around the waist , the button and zip but also have a drawstring if you need to adjust the fit a bit more. The six inch legnth comes just above the knees but if you have longer thighs these may be too short on you. They are comfortable and casual, they go well with a variety of shirts. They are made well, and should last for a good long time. All in all these are a good choice if you are looking for a nice summer basic, they have a classic look and fit, are comfortable and will hold up well.

The length/style from the 1980's makes the best sense. I mean the world has gone stark raving mad since then anyway. Trust me, if you missed the 80's then you should just watch some John Hughes movies to try to get a sense for how good it was back then.

The cotton fabric is thick for shorts and the waistband is wide and well built. Four nice deep pockets and quality stitching everywhere. Even the zipper is heavy duty. These shorts are great for all active and outdoor tasks. You can tell they will last a long time. The only reason I gave these a four star rating is the fact that they run a little snug around the waist in sizing. Overall another excellent product from Ralph Lauren!
