In that transitional period between winter’s thaw and summer’s heat, denim and chambray are two fabrics suited to the season. While commonly linked together due to their classically blue hues, the method used to weave each are distinct. Chambray is a breathable plain weave, whereas denim is a more rigid twill composed of diagonal ridges.
