Clearly the Oysterman cap, famously worn by Ernest Hemingway, served as design inspiration. Having both caps, the RL version exceeds the original in every way. The cotton is higher quality and the simulated patent leather bill arrives gently pre-curved unlike the Oysterman. Adding the cap insert to prevent a crushed wearing appearance, it’s no surprise this cap is currently sold-out.
