When I unpacked it, I did feel a bit disappointed. I’m not saying the cotton quality was bad, but the thin fabric and the design simply didn’t work well together, and overall it looked rather inexpensive — especially considering that this brand had earned my respect over many years. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that per se, but my expectations were higher. At the same time, the price probably did reflect what you get. There was a small shiny stain on the collar. It was late in the evening when I opened it. I did nor want to try it out in this condition. Therefore I thought I would wash it first. Result: the stain was removed and the garment was now presentable. I love the robe itself. The fabric is thin for spring/summer nights. The fit is impeccable. I am 5'2 and 1115lb. I usually wear a size Small. However, the reviews prompted me to purchase an XS. Grateful for the reviews.
